What we collect, what we don't, and why.
What we collect
We measure our audience with Umami, an open-source analytics tool hosted on our own server, to understand which content is useful: pages viewed, referrer, device and browser type, approximate country, and clicks on affiliate links. It sets no cookie and does not store your IP address; visits are counted anonymously, and the data is not combined with any other source nor shared with third parties. Addresses are recorded without their query string, and a referring site only by its domain. Records older than 23 months are deleted every week.
This anonymous audience measurement needs no consent, so we do not ask for it — but you can object at any time:
Affiliate links
When you click an affiliate link, the merchant (typically via Awin) may set their own cookies under their own privacy terms. We don't receive your personal data from those clicks — only anonymized conversion totals.
When you contact us
If you write to us through the contact form, we store the name, email address and message you send. We use them only to read and answer you. They are not added to a mailing list, not used for advertising, and not passed to third parties.
Messages are kept while they are useful — typically no more than 24 months — and then deleted. You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted; write to the publisher at the address on our legal notice and we will act on it. If you would rather not use the form, email or post works just as well.
